Primrose comes to us from Ruth Thompson of the esteemed Chaleur Kennels in Adelaide. We are so grateful to have her here as the foundation bitch for Olliana. She is sassy, independent and incredibly smart. When she isn't spending her days chasing birds or finding any amount of water to jump into, she loves a nap and a cuddle, especially with my partner Luke - her favourite person in the world. She is never without a toy in her mouth, especially her 'Gosig' Golden from IKEA.
July 2019: At 8 months old, Prim is now 1/4 of the way to her championship title. She received lovely comments from David Swartwood (Canada) when she won the BCC at the Lyndhurst Canine Country Club's 30th Anniversary Show. He said "She's lovely and has some really nice pieces in there - I just love her."
I am so pleased with how she is developing!
September 2019: Prim goes PUPPY OF BREED under Mr. Michael Forte (Ireland) against large and tough competition at the Royal Melbourne Show. Her critique reads "Well balanced in profile, good feminine head, covers ground well. Handled well." Her mother Fancy went Best of Breed.
CANBERRA ROYAL 2020 PRIM WINS BITCH CHALLENGE AND RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED FROM THE JUNIOR CLASS
APRIL 2021: After being out of the ring for close to 12 months due to COVID-19, Prim gains her AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP title at Deniliquin District KC. She can now be known as "AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION CHALEUR WANDERLUST (AI)"
Prim is placed FIRST in the Intermediate Bitch class at the 2021 Sydney Royal Dog Show, under renowned gundog specialist Guy Spagnolo
August 2024: Under both world renowned judges and breeders Mr Sjoerd Jobse of 'Dewmist' Goldens (SWE) Prim was BEST STATE BRED IN SHOW at the Golden Retriever Club of South Australia's Championship Show.
Under judge and breeder Mrs. Penny Lane Ridyard of 'Kulawand' Goldens (UK), Prim was BEST OPPOSITE STATE BRED IN SHOW.
Critique from Mrs Penny Lane Ridyard: A 5 ½ year old girl, exhibiting a lovely outline and full pale gold coat; a typical golden girl with friendly open expression. She has a good length of neck set into well laid shoulders and a good return of upper arm giving rise to good extension when on the move. She has an excellent depth of chest and is short coupled. Handled extremely well.
Critique from Mr Sjoerd Jobse: 5 yrs, very well made bitch of good size, lovely feminine kind expression, excellent set of neck, correct topline and tail set, balanced angulations, excellent body with maximum substance, nice straight front, powerful mover with a nice outline, very good coat and condition.
October 2024: Under Ms. Emma Archibald of Abinvale Goldens (IRE), Prim is placed 4th in a highly competitive Australian Bred Bitch Class at the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria's Champhionship show.
Critique: Pretty head and expression. Good reach of neck. Well placed shoulders and good depth of chest. Level top line. Good spring of rib. Balanced front and back. Moved well, covering the ground with ease.
